If a woman wants to be an artist

she needs to dive deep into her soul.

She needs to explore inner landscapes

Before she can even hold a brush.

If a woman wants to be an artist,

she needs to lay naked on warm beaches

and cry her pain,

into the waves of a dark ocean.

If a woman wants to be an artist,

She needs to live deeply and passionately

to know rejection,

as well as true love.

If a woman wants to be an artist,

she needs to get comfortable

with doing nothing, for days at end.

If a woman wants to be an artist,

she never turns her eyes away

from people who live with great sufferings.

She needs to walk in busy markets

and smell the sweat of working days.

She needs to dip her brush into

the juice of dreams,

and to re-create herself anew
